Legal
Terms & Conditions
This is a standard-form terms of service template for an EU distance-selling business, not legal advice. It requires review by qualified legal counsel and completion of all bracketed placeholders before launch.
Last updated: 16 August 2026. These General Terms govern the use of this website and any order placed with Fera Tartufi.
1. Company Identification
This website is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME — TBD], registered in Bulgaria under company registration number (EIK) [EIK NUMBER — TBD], with registered address at [REGISTERED COMPANY ADDRESS — TBD], VAT number [VAT NUMBER — TBD].
For any question relating to these terms, contact hello@feratartufi.com.
2. Scope
These terms apply to all orders placed through feratartufi.com. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
3. Products and Pricing
All prices are listed in Euros (€). [Prices include applicable VAT — TBD: to be confirmed once the client's VAT registration status and treatment are finalised.] Truffle availability is subject to natural harvest conditions and season; we reserve the right to substitute a comparable product or issue a refund if a specific item becomes unavailable after ordering.
4. Ordering Process and Payment
An order is placed by adding products to the cart and completing checkout. Orders are confirmed once payment has been successfully processed. Payments are handled securely by our payment processor, Stripe; we do not store your card details.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order (e.g. in case of a pricing error, suspected fraud, or stock unavailability), in which case any payment taken will be refunded in full.
5. Delivery
Delivery coverage, dispatch days, packaging, and shipping costs are described in full on our Delivery & Shipping page, which forms part of these terms.
6. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU)
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers ordering at a distance generally have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.
[PLACEHOLDER — REQUIRES LEGAL CONFIRMATION] Article 16(d) of the Directive exempts goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly (e.g. certain fresh food products) from the standard withdrawal right. Whether fresh truffles sold by Fera Tartufi qualify for this perishable-goods exemption has not yet been confirmed by legal counsel, and this section must not be treated as final until that review is complete. Until confirmed, no assumption is made here about whether withdrawal rights apply or do not apply to truffle orders — see our Returns & Refunds page for our current quality-guarantee approach in the meantime, which carries the same flag.
7. Warranty and Complaints
If a product you receive is faulty, damaged, or not as described, contact us at hello@feratartufi.com with your order number and a description (and photo, where relevant) of the issue, and we will investigate and resolve the matter in accordance with applicable Bulgarian and EU consumer protection law.
8. Limitation of Liability
[PLACEHOLDER — TBD] To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of this website or an order shall be limited to the value of the order in question, except where liability cannot be limited or excluded by law (e.g. for death, personal injury, or fraud). This clause is a standard placeholder and must be reviewed by legal counsel to ensure it complies with mandatory Bulgarian and EU consumer protection rules, which cannot be overridden by contract.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this site, including photography, text, and the Fera Tartufi name and logo, is the property of Fera Tartufi and may not be reproduced without permission.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria and applicable EU consumer protection regulation, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your country of residence.
As required for EU online sellers, you can also submit a complaint via the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
